Reviews for Yung Sum Café N city
Review highlights
Based on 83 reviewsYung Sum Café N city is widely regarded as a popular breakfast spot in Sungai Petani, known for its authentic Chinese kopitiam experience with a modern touch, such as QR code ordering and ample parking. Customers appreciate the flavorful curry mee and hokkien mee, often recommending early visits due to quick sell-outs. The menu offers a variety of traditional dishes including wan tan mee, koay teow th’ng, and nasi lemak, though some find the food choices somewhat limited. While certain dishes receive mixed feedback regarding seasoning, beverages like the 3-layer milk tea and specialty coffee are frequently praised for their customizable sweetness and aroma. The café’s cozy ambiance further enhances its appeal as a comforting breakfast destination.
There are quite a lot of people in this shop early in the morning to have the hokkien mee and Curry mee. Managed to have one and it is quite good. Also ordered the wan tan noodle and love it as they added the "loh". The shop also sell chicken rice and bah kwa bread. It's definitely a place to have breakfast but be sure to go early as it finished quite fast.
Kopitiam set up in n city with a modern twist. Everything can be ordered and paid via qr code. There are 3-4 stalls here but the go to stall is the curry mee. Perfect portion, spiciness, richness. Just amazing to start the day ahead. Bonus point is parking is abundant.
Tried the wan thon noodle, just ordinary and quite salty. The soup also very salty too. However milk coffee is great, a down side was requested less sweet but still quite sweet when serving.
A normal chinese kopitiam with a cozy vibe, making it a nice spot to have breakfast. Food choices are quite limited, with options like Koay Teow Th'ng, Blue rice nasi lemak, Curry mee and a few others. I ordered a bowl of lemon Koay Teow Th'ng. The soup was fresh and tangy, paired with the usual sides. It's a unique twist on a classic dish and surprisingly flavorful. A refreshing way to enjoy it. The toast with kaya & butter was simple but delicious, just the way it should be. Food and drinks were served quickly. They have an efficient ordering system using QR codes on the table, allowing you to order and pay for drinks directly. Very convenient.
One of the go-to kopitiam for breakfast located in N-City. There’s plenty of options here; hokkien mee, curry mee, kuey teow th’ng, wantan mee, nasi lemak, economy beehoon and toast. Must try their 3-layer milk tea and Yung Sum Specialty Coffee here as its sweetness is customisable to your liking and quite fragrant. Wantan mee is springy and doesn’t carry a heavy alkaline taste. Wantan is thinly wrapped and has good amount of fillings. Bak kwa toast is slightly too salty for our liking and can have less butter. Service is fast and they have an efficient ordering system.
